WRITER & DIRECTOR / Bill Laufer

A CWRU MBA, CPA, Bill graduated from Georgetown University after spending much of his life participating in theater and related activities. While at Georgetown, he authored an original musical show. His business career has included ownership of a recording studio, manufacturing companies and investment banking experience. He has written three other screenplays.

He has been involved with CatholicNET, the webportal and various community service organizations, including the Council on the Parliament of World's Religions. He is the President of The Friends of the Cleveland Institute of Music Board, a past President of the L'Arche-Cleveland community, the Georgetown University Club of Cleveland and GEMA. Bill is responsible for the direction of LauferFilm.com

   

CINEMATOGRAPHER & COPRODUCER / Tiff Laufer

Tiffany is an accomplished filmmaker having received her MFA from the American Film Institute's (AFI) prestigious film school and graduated from Georgetown University. In addition to working in production, Tiffany has taught filmmaking to students of all ages - most recently at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, ME.

Following in the footsteps of her writer grandmother, Helen Laufer, Tiffany has recently finished writing her second children's story entitled "Sacred Tea". Her previous screenplay "Emily and the Blue Heron" was a semi finalist in the Sundance screenwriter's competition for 2004.  She has also participated in the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, workshoping new screenplays.

   

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER / John J. A. Smith

John Smith served as Associate Producer of "Christmas at Maxwell's."  John was previously Vice President of Finance for IMMI Pictures, an independent production company that produced "Delivering Milo," starring Bridget Fonda, Albert Finney, and Campbell Scott. John graduated from Harvard University with a degree in English literature and recently received his MBA from USC with a focus on entertainment finance. 

He currently lives in Los Angeles and works as a consultant for independent film financing.

   

EDITOR / Ronen Pestes

Ronen Pestes is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after film editors in young Hollywood. In the few short years since he graduated from the world-renowned editing program at the American Film Institute (AFI), Ronen has edited three feature-length films; each generated industry accolades, including “Two Thumbs Up” from Ebert and Roeper for the documentary, NO LIMIT.

Ronen loves the creative challenge of turning raw footage into a well-crafted story.  For Ronen, the best part of editing a film, is working closely with directors and producers to create the physical embodiment of their collective dream for a film. COMPOSER / Mike Petrone

Mike has written for film, television, and the stage for more than twenty years. His original musicals include,” Just Another Night at the Club", "Kateri", "Up the Crooked River" and "Full Moon". (Directed by Frank Dunlop of Britain's National Theatre.) His original scores for film include, "Flattered", "The Longest Day", and the award-winning silent film "War Story", which Leonard Maltin called, " The best short film of the year." (2000)

Mr. Petrone is also well known as a pianist and entertainer.  He has performed with Leonard Slatkin, Kathleen Battle, and the Cleveland Orchestra, with Grammy - winners, "The Funk Brothers", at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has opened for Ray Charles, Gloria Estefan, Willie Nelson, and the Temptations.

   

COMPOSER / Richard J. Baker

Richard provided additional music for Christmas at Maxwell's.

Although best known for his work in the studio, as a musician, arranger, producer programmer, and as a touring musician, Richard has also been actively involved in Scoring for film and television since the early eighties. He brings a very broad range of musical experience, and skill to any project, having achieved success recording and touring with such artists as Santana, Gino Vannelli, Gary Wright, Leo Sayer, and many more. His classical training at McGill University and dynamic and varied career bring a unique and professional quality to every project. Clients include: USA Network, Sci-Fi Channel, Miramax Films, Lion’s Gate, NBC, Kraft Foods, Hyatt Hotels, The Discovery Channel & Fox Reality TV.
